CLEVELAND, Ohio – Over the last four years, Greater Cleveland has committed more than $300 million in tax revenue toward supporting the region’s travel and tourism industry.

Now county officials are entertaining a proposal to spend $46 million more in taxpayer money to revamp the Global Center for Health Innovation to expand offerings to the adjoining Huntington Convention Center – a move proponents say would allow Cleveland to compete as a convention mecca of the Midwest.
