Dublin Airport has issued its top travel tips for Christmas.
It’s to ensure passengers move smoothly through, over the festive season.
More than 1.5 million passengers are expected to travel through Dublin Airport this Christmas.
Friday the 23rd of December is to be the busiest day with around 98,000 passengers due taking to the skies.
With that in mind, the DAA has issued some advice on how best to prepare.
On its list of dos and don’t’s include – Checking which terminal you’re departing from and what time your airline’s check-in desk opens.
People are also being told not to wrap gifts, don’t bring snow globes in their hand luggage, as well as butter, brandy butter, or cranberry sauce.
The advice as always is to arrive 2hrs before a short-haul flight, 3hrs before long-haul and 1 additional hour if checking in a bag.
The numbers travelling this year will be up by around 95 percent on the same period last year and on a par with passenger levels in 2019.
