Under the title “The 50 Best Places to Travel in 2023”, the Travel and Leisure tourism website prepared a list that includes destinations.
According to the criteria and categories set by the website including cultural riches, foods, landscapes, beaches, and others, Egypt has topped a list of other destinations and was among the best cultural tourism destinations.
The website highlighted the most prominent elements of Egypt, referring to the imminent opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is located close to the Pyramids of Giza.
Also included are many archaeological treasures, as well as outdoor gardens and a spacious squares where visitors can enjoy a distinct and different tourist experience.
The website also highlighted the luxurious Nile cruises, and the recovery witnessed by the hotel sector.
The website also states that the international chain hotels are scheduled to open soon in Egypt.
One of the most prominent destinations tourists can visit now is the Valley of the Kings, Luxor.
Several foreign media outlets have been recently listing Egypt among the world’s best tourist destinations in 2023.
In November, the British Financial Times highlighted a number of the tourist and archaeological potentials of the Egyptian tourist destination, through a photo report on its writer’s visit to Egypt.
The report says Egyptian tourism began to recover due to the important events that contributed to attracting the world’s attention to Egypt.
These include the transfer of 22 mummies to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, in a major procession in April 2021.
Moreover, under the title “Best places to go for fall: A dozen cool spots around the world,” the famous US website, CNN Travel, published a report in which it listed Egypt among the top 12 tourist destinations to travel to around the world in the fall 2022.
Similarly, the global travel website “Lonely Planet” has highlighted lesser known destinations that can be enjoyed when visiting Egypt, in its article titled “Dig deeper with these eight alternative destinations in Egypt“.
