Hoarding showcases Philippine endemic wildlife
Shake Shack unveils its newest spot with a wilderness inspired hoarding spanning the stretch of its up and coming space in SM North Edsa.
An Urban Shack Garden
While Shake Shack’s humble beginnings as a hot dog cart were tied to a Recent York City art installation, Shake Shack’s commitment to supporting the local art community stays steadfast to today. Throughout the assorted store openings within the country alone, the enduring Recent York burger joint has consistently supported and forged partnerships with each established and emerging local artists.
Continuing its tradition, Shake Shack collaborates with local graphic designer and illustrator Raxenne Maniquiz for the shop’s construction hoarding. As a 2021 Young Gun Awardee, Raxenne’s artistry depicts a high appreciation of the native (and mostly endemic) wildlife with sensible and daring color contrasts and deep, painterly strokes. Drawing inspiration from the heritage trees present in Metro Manila and Philippine wildlife, her hoarding design is a trippy and stunning visual walkthrough of Quezon City’s lush and vibrant environmental surroundings and open spaces, unbeknownst to many have long been an element of town’s character. With its almost lifelike illustrations of lush and vivid greenery and flowers, the hoarding creates a vibrant backdrop for shoppers and diners alike within the country’s first SM Supermall.
I Spy on the Shack
Greater than a scenic homage to the country’s greeneries, the hoarding can even give patrons a probability to win exciting prizes through a game called “I Spy on the Shack”. Inspired by the youngsters’s puzzle book “Where’s Waldo?”, the digital game could have Shack fans attempting to find featured images which were specified by the hoarding design. Spot the right item and participants can rack up weekly prizes until the top of the sport. Lucky joiners who will complete the challenge will receive tickets for 2 to the Shake Shack Community Day, where they’ll have a probability to go to and dine without cost before it opens to the general public.
