If she’s being honest, Drew Barrymore isn’t much of an end-of-year-present person. “I love the holidays—except for the pressure of gift giving,” she explains. “I didn’t grow up with a Christmas tree and those exciting Christmas mornings. So instead, I gift all year long.”

Whether it’s an engraved Tiffany & Co. clock (a thank-you she gave to her electrician and cabinet builders after renovations) or a lime green and black Lucite Art Deco vase she tracked down for a friend, she doesn’t wait until December to spread joy. “I will 1stDibs, Etsy, and Chairish my way into your heart with unique finds,” she says.

In fact, around this time, she prefers to take her family on vacation—“You’re not going to remember what’s in that box, but you can remember going to Tulum, Mexico,” she reminds her kids—so when the holidays involve getting on a plane and staying in a new place, she’s always prepared. In her own words, here are the three things she doesn’t travel without—and as a bonus, they’re all eco- and TSA-friendly.

Clean Sweep

Grove Co Wipes

Tree-Free Compostable Kitchen Wipes, Grove Collaborative

Shop

They’re the best way to clean your iPad, your phone, all your surfaces, even a remote control in a hotel room. I bring them everywhere.

Light Load

Grove Co laundry detergent sheets

If you’re staying in a house rental, bring laundry detergent sheets. They’re really lightweight and easy to carry. Fabulous.

A Handy Solution

Grove Co. Hand Soap Sheets

I always have these in my purse. Each strip is perforated, so you can only use half if you’re traveling through an airport or you need to wash your hands. I’ve even taken a bottle of water, used it to wash, then rinsed it off with the water if I’m somewhere there isn’t a bathroom.
