Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, recognized its top-performing travel agencies from the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region because it held the seventeenth edition of the annual Eagle Wings Awards, the primary since 2019.

A complete of 62 agencies from CEB’s local and international stations were conferred with the Eagle Wings Award in a three-day event held from March 21 to 23, 2023, at Modala Beach Resort in Panglao, Bohol.

The Eagle Wings Awards is held annually to acknowledge CEB’s top domestic and international producers when it comes to ticket sales and their contributions to the general success of the airline. The 2023 edition, which honored the previous 12 months’s top producers, marked the return of the awards after being suspended for 3 years on account of the pandemic.

“The past three years have been tough, with the pandemic negatively impacting the travel and tourism industry. But despite these challenges, we all know all of you have got worked hard to succeed in out to our customers and encourage them to fly again. And since of that, it’s only proper to present credit where it’s due,” Arlene Tena, Cebu Pacific Director for Passenger Sales and Distribution, told the awardees through the March 21 ceremony.

Leading the travel agency awardees is Manila-based Via Philippines Travel Corp. for being the airline’s top-selling producer for 2022, followed by GI Philippines Corp., Universal Storefront Services, Ticket1 Travel, and The Atlas Pte. Ltd.

Rounding out this list are Beijing Shuozoujiuzou Technology Co. Ltd., Pinoy Tourism LLC., Beijing Daran Aviation Service Co. Ltd., Tabeer Tourism LLC., and Nam Thanh Travel Joint Stock.

Special awards were also given to travel agencies which have shown significant contributions to the event of recent traffic for CEB, equivalent to ship’s crew, labor, and MICE traffic, in addition to English as a Second Language, offline, and charter businesses.

To further show its appreciation, CEB took the travel agents on a visit around Bohol to permit them to experience the world-renowned sights, cuisine, and hospitality of the island province.

“As we attempt for full recovery this 12 months, I hope you proceed to affix us in our mission to enable every Juan to fly. You, our valued partners and awardees, are very much a part of Cebu Pacific’s success, and we’re very thankful for the relentless support and commitment you have got shown throughout the years,” Tena said.

CEB continues to guide the domestic travel industry with 57% market share for 2022. This 12 months, the airline is firmly in place for full recovery because it restores 100% of its pre-COVID network and capability, aided by its unbeatable seat sales, widest domestic network, and reinstatement of all its international destinations.
