The highlights of Dubrovnik’s tourism offer was presented at the New York Travel & Adventure Show at the Javits Convention Centre in New York from the 18th to the 20th of March.

The Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board were present at the show in New York, in fact they were co-exhibitors at a stand alongside the Croatian Tourist Board and the county tourists boards of Split, Zagreb and Lika-Senj.

Since the war in Ukraine broke out the American market has decreased and even started to cancel vacations and trips to Europe. And even a few larger congresses in Dubrovnik from North American have been cancelled in recent weeks.

The first day of the travel fair was reserved only for business audiences, while Saturday and Sunday were open to all. The fair was visited by about 600 travel agents, and a total of about 35,000 visitors. “Our stand was very well attended throughout the fair, and most told us that they can’t wait to come to Dubrovnik and the Dubrovnik-Neretva County again,” stated the tourist board.

And added that “Given the announcement of United Airlines to continue the direct flight New York – Dubrovnik this year, it was desirable to re-present our offer to the American public.” However, the longer Ukraine conflict carries on the more American travellers are likely to postpone their trips until next year.
